Mauritius - Nostalgia series

Following on my Mediterranean memories post, comes another in the “nostalgia” series. This time we head to the India Ocean, 2,000 km off the south-east coast of Africa. Following the work of Jacob Elwood, as he takes us for a breathtaking tour around his stay at SALT of Palma. A hotel designed with colour artist Artist Camilla Walala.

These beautiful photographs capture the sense of nostalgia you get in far-flung places, which sit behind the development of the rest of the world. For me, the nostalgia I get from the sun-bleached signs and colours fills me with happiness and a sense of reassurance of a slower pace.
